AuTrain Lake is Centrally Located in Alger County in Michiganís Upper Peninsula. LaValleys Resort is in the Heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, and the resort is easily accessible from M-28 or U.S. 2/U.S.41. The area is a geographic home base for vacationers. Mileages to/from some towns and attractions are as follows: Marquette, 35 miles to the west. Escanaba, 50 miles to the south. Mackinaw Bridge, 135 miles to the east. Soo Locks, 135 miles. Tahquamenon Falls, 80 miles. Copper Harbor, 175 miles. Munising, 13 miles to the east. Seney Wildlife Refuge, 50 miles. Gran Marais, 75 miles. Pictured Rocks National Park Visitorís Center, 13 miles. LaValleys Resort and Red Barn Antiques is two miles south of the yellow blinking light at the junction of M-28 and H-03, the AuTrain/Forest Lake Road.
Take I-94 north to Milwaukee, and get on Route 43 as you pass through town. Take Route 43 past Green Bay, Wisconsin until it intersects with U.S. 41. Take U.S. 41 north through Menominee, Michigan. Just on the outskirts of Menominee, turn on Route 35 which skirts the western shore of Lake Michigan. Take Route 35 through Escanaba where it rejoins U.S. 41. Take U.S. 41 north towards Marquette. Exit 41 at Trenary, and follow Route 67 to the intersection of Route 94. Turn right on 94, and drive to the intersection of 94 and H-03, the AuTrain/Forest Lake Road. Go approximately 5 miles north. LaValleys Resort and Red Barn Antiques is on the left.
Take I-75 to just beyond the Mackinaw Bridge. Turn west on U.S. 2. Take U.S. 2 to Route 77 north to Seney and the junction with M-28. Go left, west on M-28 through Munising. Turn left, south on H-03, and go 2 miles to LaValleys Resort and Red Barn Antiques.
